People seem to get very scared of water and engines. I do commercial detailing and in 10+yrs of blasting engines with water ive killed 2 coilpacks (both were likely on their last legs anyway and were fords).
Hows this before and after... you cant tell me this wasn't blasted in every spot and oriface HARD

Engines get wet from driving in the rain. Water can get in everywhere and manufacturers know how to keep the bits that are sensitive dry or tough enough to cope. If something dies from a bit of water than it was dying anyway.
