Well it took longer than I expected to get to pulling the plug apart, but I did it today.
If you look down into the plug you'll see a plastic piece that is clearly different than the rest.
Then you can use something small and flat to pull the tab that comes up. The actual tool looks like a really flat screw driver.
Next, you take a different tool that is small and pointy. You could use a scribe if you find one that's small enough. Press it into the socket to try and release the lock. This is the hardest part as you have to feel out where the lock is. In the case of the VM #1 injector on the vehicle side it's under the socket. Some are on the top, some on the side. Leave the sharp tool in the connector and push the socket out with the flat tool.
Now do the same to the other side. It takes about a minute. I pulled these out myself and I've never done it before.
