Any more news on when these recovery points will be available, and pricing? Will they fit into the ARB bull bar through the plates under the bull bar? Looks great! Bloody unbelievable that the new ARB bull bar for the WK2 has only come out with ONE tow point on the drivers side, WTF??

I emailed them to get more info. I'm still stuck between this and the rocky road so it may come down to budget approval from my better half.

Hi,
Thanks for checking in with us. Here are the answers to your questions.
1. Unfortunately we still aren't able to give an official availability date yet. The prototypes have just been completed at the fabricators today, and are waiting to be powder coated. We expect to have them on Friday. Then we will be doing test fitting and field testing, as well as preparing the packaging and installation instructions. I'll be opening our website for pre-orders soon.
2. Unfortunately we don't have final pricing yet either. Sorry about that, but we should have something very soon."

I'm surprised as well that the ARB Bull Bar only comes with one Recovery Point. I'm not sure what the thinking was on that one, but if ours fit, I suppose it's better for me. We will be doing test fitting in the next week or so. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of the ARB Bull Bars installed yet, so it will be difficult to get our hands on one for test fitting. I'll be sure to let everyone know as soon as we find one to test fit.

Cheers,
Bill

I'll more than likely be getting the ARB bull bar anyway. I want to go steel this time instead of Ally. Do you have any fitting instructions for your recovery points? Perhaps I can run it past ARB and compare it to their fitting instructions for the bull bar and see if it will fit in. I'll be ordering the bull bar, but expected delivery is not until early December.

Cheers
Geoff

We haven't put together our installation instructions yet, but as soon as we do I'll let you know.

Bill

We received our prototypes this week and I'm really happy with how they turned out. We've got a few minor tweaks to make before production, but these are pretty close to what the final product will look like.

We haven't set the pricing yet, but I expect it to be near what the dealer charges ($270 per side). I was hoping it would be less, but putting out a quality product with such a limited manufacturing run, obviously puts limits on how low we can get the price. Even so, I'm working with the manufacturer on ways to reduce the manufacturing costs further before we go into production, so that price may still come down a bit.

I hope to have more information for everyone regarding price and availability very soon. I expect to have the Chief Products website up-and-running to take orders in the next 2-3 weeks.

Normally I wouldn't release this information until everything was settled and ready-to-go, but I figured everyone here on the forums deserves to have a small peak behind the scenes.

Cheers,
Bill

It's not shown in the photos, but high tensile ( 8.8 ) corrosion resistant mounting hardware will be included.
