We had a great time up at Land Cruiser Mountain Park camping, 4Wheeling and field testing our latest prototypes. If you're interested in the trip, I'll be posting more info and photos on my thread in the coming days.

On day 2, we found a nice sticky mud pit. The perfect chance to test our latest recovery hook prototypes. It took 3 big pulls from an 80 Series LandCruiser to get us out. As we expected, the hooks performed flawlessly.

With field testing complete, we'll be organising a test fitting to verify fitment on various years and models, then we'll be going into production.

Cheers,
Bill

Hey!

We did a test fitting for Chief Products Recovery Hooks, Recovery Points & Sump Protection Plate yesterday on various model WK2s. Everything bolted up exactly as it should on all models tested. Installation was extremely easy. I'm sure everyone following this thread will be happy to know, we start production next week.

If you'd like to know more or see a few photos, check out this thread (http://www.ausjeepoffroad.com/forum/...=126955&page=2).

Cheers,
Bill

It has taken a bit of time to get everything ready, but the moment is finally here. On March 1st, Chief Products is doing a pre-launch of our new website. The website will be fully functional and ready to go, but I wanted to give the passionate WK2 owners that have been following us since the beginning a chance to get in there first.

Default WK2 2012 - Recovery hooks

Hi there bmackin.

Are you aware if the recovery hooks/points are able to be fitted with a genuine JA nudge bar also fitted? Is there any common mounting points that would mean that there can only be one or the other fitted?

Cheers.

Hi wehttam,

Unfortunately our recovery hooks/points use the same mounting points in the frame as the JA nudge bar, so you cannot have both installed at the same time.

On a positive note, we've had many enquiries about this, so we've begun development on a Chief Products nudge bar that is compatible and should be available in a few months.

I hope that helps!

Cheers,
Bill
