Thanks 👍

Addco rear sway bar is now on the list.

Ordered engine and transmission mounts from ironman4x4fab.

DBA T2 slotted rotors and QFM HPX pads for all four corners is in the mail.

Heard they don't tolerate being hot, probably won't take the heads off unless I've got a reason too. I will lash the valves and throw an inspection camera down when changing over the plugs.

Should be here next week!

Awesome.

I've a trip to the states coming up. It'll be a shopping trip for the Jeep and some for the wife and kids.....I guess. Haa...Haa..

I'll be picking up a set of steel rear quarter panels with brush rails, also those engine and trans mounts from Andy. Hydro PSC much later or if I can find a spare power steering box, I'll bring it over there and get JeepRUs in LA to tap it for me. I had one PSC previously but was stolen by a mech shop here...sucks.

Lucky sob! Hope to make a trip over to the states one day. Maybe when Donald Trump is no longer president lol....

So decided against the ironman4x4fab mounts, luckily hadn't shipped and were being fabricated so got a refund, reason is the increase in NVS and it would be unbearable for a daily driver.

Stolen PSC? Man that's shite! Who steals customer parts?

Jeep arrived this morning, early at 4am guess you've gotta roll with it when paying peanuts. Been absolutely flat out, daughter's birthday, sold house, buying a new one etc so won't get on the tools until later in the week. It's immaculate, stoaked with the buy.

There is a service sticker on the windscreen at 125,000km but will still go over it and do a major service regardless.

Poured in some Liqui-moly fuel system cleaner and Engine Detox, ran and drove it around the block for now.

I cannot say much about the first line as I'm going there....LOL!

How did you come up with increase in NVS and would it really be that terrible? It's an honest question as I've little to no experience with it.

Ironman4x4fab use one piece clevite polyurethane bushings, they are 88D which is very hard. Most race cars use 75D.

I did a bit of searching to find a replacement rubber bushing but came up empty.

Here is an on road comparison of the factory rubber vs energy polyurethane, it's pretty obvious.

Different story if the vehicle had a ladder frame and you could reduce NVS with rubber body mounts, I'll stick with the factory replacements and keep on top of any oil leaks.

That's great man, thanks for that. I hadn't realised how harsh the harder clevite would be. My mate in Brizzy has ordered some, so I will ask for his feedback as well.

My present factory mounts are quite new anyway, less than 500kms, so I'm in no particular hurry to do anything.

Thanks again.

Feedback on the Ironman4x4 engine and trans mounts:

Quote:
It was excessive to start with, but then I realised it had raised everything up so much that the exhaust was rubbing on the body. When I fixed that, it's definitely not unbearable, makes the Jeep feel like a beast lol
I think I'll stay OEM... . It's already a beast, I don't need it to be beastier. Exterior mods like 40" maybe but not shaking and vibrating.. lol.

Thanks fer the heads up
