Default Wombat State Forest
The JOCV spends some time up there. The best ( and only map according to the Rangers) is the Magellan (?)Wombat State Forest map. There are a lot of permenantly closed tcks in Lerdegerg (next door) so plan well - the rangers are not forgiving.

Just reviving an old thread.... but can anyone give me some specific tracks to try near Blackwood and Trentham?? We have our club christmas party there next week and I want a few more tracks than the usual one we do in Lerdegerd near O'briens and Nuggety Track etc. Lerdederg is basically all shut now by management, and the Gisborne side of Wombat is a little far for a quick trip. More interested in tracks very close to Blackwood/ Trentham. Any ideas
