Default Jeep CJ-3A

The Willys-Overland CJ-3A was introduced in 1949, and replaced the CJ-2A by the next year. It featured a one-piece windshield with a vent as well as wipers at the bottom, and a beefed up suspension to accommodate the various agricultural implements that were being built for the vehicle.[3]

Another difference was a shorter rear wheelwell (the wheelwell from the top front edge to the rear of the body is 32 inches (810 mm) on the 3A compared to 34 inches (860 mm) on the 2A) and moving the drivers seat rearward.[4]

A bare-bones Farm Jeep version was available starting in 1951 with a power takeoff. 131,843 CJ-3As were produced before the series ended in 1953.

Default Jeep CJ-3A Banana farming

Hey there!! Here's a shot of my father's Jeeps. He wore the Ex Army out banana growing, and got the 3A to replace it. 3a was then replaced by a CJ-6 Overlander tray back. His current workhorse is the 85 J10. Purchased new. And still going. 1st gear low range everyday. Shame he didn't keep the 3a though!!!

Any idea where your father's 3A ended up? I'm after many parts to restore my 1949 3A

Default 3a

Nah. Don't know where it could be now. Way back he offloaded it when he got the CJ-6 around 1966.
