I service a neighbors standard KJ for them and the ride between their car and mine is like chalk and cheese as you already know. I found that link you mentioned a little earlier and had a good read and learnt the American 3" suspension is pretty much the same as our 2".
This has cleared a whole lot up for me and answered why the hell my sliders were getting so much work. (IRO sliders by the way, have payed for themselves a dozen times over).
Thanks for all the input guys. Now my biggest dilemma will be between choosing the IRO 3" suspension or Dobinsons 40mm springs with Rancho shocks.
Call Stuart Murchison and get him to sort some springs for you. I'd stay away from Rancho shocks, I reckon you won't go wrong with OME shocks. A few of us run them and are very happy with the results.

I'd also budget for new suspension bushes too, these will improve the way it drives and rides. The oval NVH bushes will probably be creating all sorts of problems for you IMO.

Wow Hanna I'd hate to see what yours would be like with my van on the back. My dobinson spring with Emu shocks only drops about 20mm if that with van and jeep loaded up and still looks level.

Actually I may be due for new springs as these have been on for about 6 yrs and Ive lost about 5-10 mm as Im sitting on 500mm from axle centre to wheel arch, Emu shocks with Dobinson springs.
