spoondog - yeah so do I. I've been "pushing it" into corners and loose-ish surfaces over the past couple of days to try and recreate the original problems (just to be on the safe side) and so far so good, everything seems to be back to normal, no odd noises or error lights.

And here are a couple of poor snaps of the new trans cooler:

Letter to FCA is being put together outlining my disgust over this, plus 4 other issues that prove a severe degradation in quality of service over the past 3-years from this particular dealership.

We’ll see how we go.

Good luck with contacting FCA.

They are utterly appalling.

Taprod: Yeah, I'd kind-a heard that - never expected it was going to be plain sailing either, but, as they say, nothing ventured... nothing gained.

Indeed. I agree wholeheartedly.

I have an issue I’m actively pursuing them over which is posted elsewhere on this site. The people at the destroy my Jeep Facebook page gave me the email address of the ACCC chairman. I emailed him and he actually responded. A day later I had a call from someone in their compliance area who has now taken my info and is pursuing it with FCA. ACCC can’t compel them to do anything but they might be able to swing things my way.

Point is, stick at it. FCA counts on people giving up the fight. I’m sure it’s number one on their business plan.

Cheers

"FCA counts on people giving up the fight. I’m sure it’s number one on their business plan" - I'm sure that's pretty much high on all company's business plans, especially when it involves giving out cash to people, for something they should've done or something they screwed up.

I'm well, experienced with the "stick with it approach" - been through similar situations with British Airways, P&O, and more recently Comminsure, and been successful each time.

Of course I'm not saying we'll be successful this time, but, as they say over the other side of the pond "this ain't my first rodeo!".

Yee haaa.....

Is that a separate add-on unit in those pics above? The trans cooler in my Jeep is a LOT different. It's the trans cooler and aircon condenser in one unit.

This is mine (failed one on the right, new one on the left). Top section is trans cooler and the rest is aircon condenser.
