One thing to think of guys is ADR compliancing and legalities with Composite Materials on the front of vehicles. Not that a copa would know by looking at it but when they smash in as accident they splinter and that's not good for pedestrians! Hence why Carbon Fiber bonnets ect are illegal.

and 1/4" thick isnt that strong for FG, 10mm is though, the shape of it gives it it's strength. The most concerning part would be for those constant knocks and scrapes on the lower bottom edge.

One thing I did feel when I saw one in the flesh was that it was IMHO to thin.

Wouldnt a pedestrian prefer to be splintered than slammed or crushed by say an ARB bullbar.

After having a laugh about pedestrians getting run over by fourby, the guy next to me said who is customising a 4wd to make it pedestrian safe, by the way the laugh came about his 8" lifted 100 series and saying that the pedestrian can duck (under the vehicle) and get away with no injury now thats pedestrian safe!
