Thanks guys. I don't understand why they would sell the hose but not the fittings. My mechanic has already tried Enzed in Rocky and they reckon they couldn't do it. The problem is the internal o-ring. This website in France reckons the fitting 52088914AA will fit with hose. http://www.autousparts.fr/autoparts/...d=mmjskwrdtzca it's the only reference I can find that links the two parts.

I bought my V8 hose from Rockauto same type as bodgie it pushes against the intercooler hose but I put a sleeve on it and after probably 90,000k or more still good.
Looked for the thread that I had about it and fester put his pics in but it's gone, lost in the big crash or sitting on the other Grands pages I suppose.
A slightly longer intercooler hose and the V8 would be perfect.

You'll end up with a fixed hose which removes the internal oring so this isn't a problem in the futurer. The pics fester posted will show you what your mechanic will need to do.

Enzed in Rocky are either not very bright or couldn't be bothered, it's far from difficult especially for someone like them that deal in the various fittings on a daily basis. Try an independent rather than a franchised type business.

That hose and the separate fitting look like they are correct. MY memory doesn't go back that far that well but the end of the hose looks like what I recall as does the fitting. If they are indicating they match we can only assume it is correct, costly if they don't though. I remember seeing the separate fitting in the parts listing and maybe even a part number but at the time I only enquired through Jeep who suggested it no longer existed as a separate item and at the end of the day because I could do it myself it was significantly cheaper just to make my own.

Got an email on parts specials yesterday and the hose for a V8 was $187, nearly twice the price as posted from RockAuto.

Ok , gents , just to add up to the info pile here , first of all FK JEEP for this proprietary bs.
My 03 2.7 WJ had a leak on top of the power steering pump , at the inner O ring of the fitting ... well after some research i realized that the power steering lines look almost exactly the same for the V8 (01-04) WJ and the 2.7CRD , so i bought the Edelmann 92189 with the updated fittings (just ONE O ring mounted on the outside ) from ebay USA for 46$ ... i thought that bend at the pump would be too high and hit the IC hose so i bent it a bit ( the elbow flattened a bit but it's ok ) and pulled it towards the rad so it will not contact the hose , just by very little using "brute force" ( put the wrapped in tape end into the the end of the jack handle and pulled/pushed on it ) . well it would have worked out with less of the brute force bending ))
here it is :

the "kink" / flattened area s not as bad as it looks in this pic because of the lighting :
