Default Transmission Cooler - Aftermarket Replacement

My 2011 GC at nearly 200k has developed it's first problem.

Transmission cooler is leaking & needs to be replaced. Being a combined unit, my thought is to just install aftermarket unit & by-pass it altogether.

Q1: Has anyone else had this problem & done it?

Q2: Recomendations on what cooler to purchase?

Thanks in advance

Hunno

Not sure if the models factory set up, But spend the money on a well known name brand core.
I have been building custom cooling systems for race cars since 2002 before the china rush of cheap cores flooded the market.

Perma cool make some fantastic cores, the B&M super cooler is great for 4x4, rock solid unit, it will take a hard hammer hit with out a leak, angled fins to force air flow into and through the core.

Run an inline fluid thermostat to speed up warning up and pre venting overcooling.

whole system with new core, lines, thermostat can be had for around $300.
Or a budget basic system can be done for under $120

Thanks Midnight,

I'd prefer to do the whole system with new core, lines, thermostat.

Where do I source the required parts at the prices your quoting?
