😁. Less sanding.
By the looks of that pic, I think I would any way.
Depends on how fussy you are. And the condition of the rest of the vehicle..
A caramel wheel, as suggested, may be the way to go. To clean only the old tape and glue off, then sand and paint with top coat.
Or, rip it all off, use the body lines as cutoff lines, and undercoat with a product that has etching properties, and then top coat.
Also depends on what's going on there too, with the current black paint. It may be unsuitable to be sprayed over.

Cheers

Another productive day! Leaf spring bushings replaced and the new shackles in. She's sitting pretty sweet, now just need to bleed brakes and give her a test drive.

That looks pretty good, I'd be interested in a pair of those end sections or even the plans for them, the centre isn't what I'd want but it looks the goods for a winch bar....

Stop calling your car a "she". It's a car.

Got the POS over the pit on Sun before I f'd the engine yesterday. Upon examination I have one completely flogged out upper CA and the other is rubbing on the bush. The passenger one has slipped and is sliding at the rear bush where it is completely elongated. At least I know where my knocking noise was coming from. NFI what to do with the Heap considering I need new upper CA's and they will need to be HD adjustable's; no steering damper until I get a bracket and a new damper. And lastly an engine that might be completely f'd. Oh and I forgot the radiator is f'd as well. Every now and then it leaks. At least that wasn't the cause of the loss of coolant as I could see coolant sprayed near the converter and not on the drivers side where the rad leaks from.

Regards A
