I was given a hint for a 76deg thermostat from one of my mates that used to own an XJ. He got fed up with the overheating issues himself and this fixed the problem. Mine sits just above 70 all day long. I have a raised bonnet and a rebuilt cooling system and I do not have any over heating issues at all anymore.

Another thought. Get a 2 piece bracket bent up to fit around the side of the case. Weld both ends of each bracket to the rack. On the end of the brackets have a fitting made up with a welded nut on one end and a hole on the other so you can fit a bolt, flat washer and spring washer so it can be bolted together as a clamp to squeeze the case. Have the ends bent to suit to do this. On the brackets I would put foam tape so it doesn't rub on the case and it will prevent noise. The only problem with this is that it is permanently there on the rack. If you are going to leave the case there then it's fine. If not it will have to be mini ratchet straps.

Being Dutch, I have my (serious) doubts about Heineken being worth trading something for, lol....but their commercial division makes you think you're drinking one of the best, most awesome and sexiest beers in the world, I got to give 'em that, bwahaha...

But hey , if it would get me those things JJ, more than happy to bring some along if we are ever going to meet

$21.00 for a 6 pack. Good value to me. JJ's a great bloke too. Each to their own. I must admit I've never tried Heineken. I need to get a security torx fitting so I can get my ignition shroud off to fit the dash. If you ever go into JJ's garage, tie a rope to your car and your waist. You'll need it to find your way out again..bwahahahaha... I'm going to change my diff oils tm. I did the tranny case today and had a bit of running around to do. It's beer o'clock now. No working on vehicles whilst consuming beverages for me.

Oh don't get me wrong, it's nothing against you, JJ or bringing JJ beer. Not at all. And he deserves all the beer in the world. It's the Heineken, just should try it for once....
