Default Time for New tyres...

Ok i expect to replace my KM2's in the next 6 months...

I will be changing rims as i want to run a wider tyre, as i feel the 11.5 wide KM2's are too narrow / agressive for soft sand.

however i have been very happy with them on the road / rocks / mud

i'm looking for an agressive AT tyre that is not too stiff in the sidewall so will work well when aired down on sand, but that wont puncture to easily when hitting up the rocks..

i would like to go to a 34/35" tyre mainly for added clearance and to fill up the arches a bit more with my lift.

Any suggestions? i love the look of the MTR kevlars.. not sure how good they would go in the sand tho.

I had Wrangler Dura Trac's on my hilux, was an Awesome tyre!! nice and soft compound, agressive tread pattern and no louder than all terrains on the road (couldnt really hear it at all)

From what i have read on them in the state they wear well too..... unfortunatly the car was totalled a few months after i got them so cant comment on how long they will last.

Chris, personally if i got another tyre i'll be going AT & i'm looking at the procomp
Extreme A/T. Once you get to around 33" the tread really opens up & they are pretty agressive but will be wicked still in sand & quiet on the road BUT still open & aggressive enough to play in the mud.
I sore them in the shop when i picked up my mud terrains & wanted to swap them there & then!!! Worth a look IMO. Tech 9 tyres down south do good deals on them. Just ring that w#nk at 4wd USA & get his price before you go to tech 9 coz they will smash him!!

goodyear Aus don't want anything to do with the duratrac.

so unless you're importing, try something else.

yea mud tyres look great but realistically they suck for WA's conditions (except down south in winter)
