i can tell you now anyone who thinks fitting windscreen in the driveway is ok does not do a quality job... Also any one who lifts a screen in by them selfs i wouldn't be happy with... inproper windscreen installation can cause ALOT of damage.

I am a licenced windscreen fitter here in WA and i would not EVER fit a windscreen alone (urathene only) , let alone if a driveway...

Also dealers dont fit windscreens they just call the local bloke out to do it and then charge you that = whatever % they want...

I'm not saying your stupid for allowing it just strongly advising against it,,,

Cracked the screen on our travels and will need to replace on the JK when we get home.
Wife is not happy at the thought of loosing the quirky little jeep image on the screen surround. Or do replacements from O'Brien have this as well?
It's a 2012.

I am just enough with any so called authorised and official things. The true spirit behind Jeep is "you dare" ... or as their words "don't hold me back"! Maybe you are right but I still want to try it. We should all live in a world without rules and boundaries without other's control on you what you want what you like and what you are happy with... I am happy with it and write this out to share with other guys for there still being some other options beyond the dealership beyond what you are told to be "right". And often I question myself why I have to listen to them and hand over our hard earned cash to change back a pile of shit and a pile of anger? You are not happy and you feel you are ripped off !

Rod did a good job for me. He is honest and friendly. Also he is a registered windscreen fitter. I even paid him extra 10$ to appreciate his work. At least I feel we are equal at that time unlike dealers they look down on you. You feel yourslf like a fish on chopboard so I say no! It is my rule at least in Jeep world I don't listen to anybody but myself, as you buy a Jeep, ride a Jeep and DARE TO!!
