just checked with Hammond 4x4 the covversion cost for hemi v8 with rfe545 auto transmission is around 30,000K turn key

The LS2 or 3 are around 6K brand new but need to figure out engine mounts transmission etc really painful exercise

i think i might wait for someone else to do this stuff and just run in prodcution class if they allow. sourcing a different front bumper to replace arb with high mount winch

bash plates are already done includes oil pan , transfer case and evap protection. Tyres are good procomp xtreme mud, but need beadlocks. dollar is good so might as well order soon.

Cage is the one thing which i have no clue where to start from. Anyone in Melb who can design on computer and show the results.

Forget the V8's

I'd be considering Simex/TSL's 35's etc...
so you can compete in lower class's

A quality cage will cost 3-4K but worth it.

Change the front bar to a simple stubby or tube bar.

Get out and do a few easy challenges and comps first to see if you like it.

Sometimes, the simple, strong trucks are the ones that end up with the points..

Building a full on comp truck costs mega dollars, also have to maintain them a lot more.

Run what you've got, plus the safety requirements..

Just as much fun, and a shite load cheaper...

Zac you cant run production class with d60's.
Spend the money on a cage and a winch.
Then sign up for vic winch challenge. Side by side with newbies and pros.
Tyres and beadlocked rims are a good idea but not absolutely required.

Why muck around?

Full cage
Ute Conversion
6WD x 48 inch Claws
Hydraulic suspension
Manually locked LSD Dana 100's with portal mods
600cube supercharged diesel V8 with red slurpee injection
Constantly Variable Transmission
Triple transfer cases
Front, rear and side PTO winches

Perhaps a better way is to sell your JK then buy a JK Grill and Bonnet and start from there

x2.AEV kit would probably be the smartest way to go if you want a V8 in your JK.And they would probably be able to advise you on fitting the kit to a Euro/Aus spec JK.

Goodluck with it all Zak.Can't wait to see the finished product
