I thought the thread was about either (a) converting his current JK into a comp/race truck, or (b)looking at alternatives.

Better to spend $50k on an already built competitive race truck that cost upwards of $100k to build, than wasting $50k on an old heep that looks pretty but goes no-where.

But then if you'd rather show something than drive it its your call i guess.

just get a 6ltr and tranny out of a wrecked comodore and but a atlas or stack with the correct adapter behind it, get a painless harness kit and u could have it done and dusted for a little over 10k if u do it your self.

Hemi is cool but way over rated for the price.
