and the wait continues
have fully paid for my trailhawk
now waiting for the dealer to finalise things
and add the accessories ive had thrown in
then fully detail it inside and out and (at this stage as it wasn't ready for me to pick up) deliver to me
and for the time being I have a new laredo demo same colour that had 124k's on the clock when I got it

+1. My previous chariot was also a petrol Territory. Not a patch on the Jeep!

mine was the diesel v6 2.7 and I was down sizing from a v8 pet 2002 4wd explorer which to me seems similar to the GC to drive

am happy and getting accustomed even tho its the loaner and I haven't got mine yet so im trying no to play to much with all the settings and its just a Laredo any way where mines a trailhawk so ill have even more to fidget with then

so they have 5 year unlimited k's warranty is it worth increasing and whats the options and any idea on pricing and can it be done any time in the warranty period

oh and mines not going to be ready to be picked up from the dealer now itll Thursday and that's with out the fitment of the h/d toe hitch as apparently they are on back order

its finally happened
I now own a velvet red jeep grand cherokee trailhawk !

finally picked it up thursday nite
and not with out its own dramas

been trying to get it since last friday and apparently they couldn't get it ready in time
all they had to do was fit weather shields , head lamp and bonnet protectors and a heavy duty tow hitch a full detail and fuel it and they wanted a week to do this

so I get a call at 2pm …. its ready when can you come
at 330 I call and say im on my way ill be there in an hour
upon arriving they tell me the tow hitch is still on back order and they don't know when and I say well that's good but why hasn't the bonnet protector been fitted then ! and so its whipped back in to their workshop
so when it did finally come out and he is running me thru the ins and outs im finding rubbish in the car and commented on how poor the detail was
but I now have it and am fidgeting with all the gadgets setting it up

Well done mate, hope you enjoy the new car. Picking up a new car should be a moment of pure joy, one of life's little indulgences that we've worked hard for. Then along comes the dealer to ruin the experience, and they wonder why we shake our heads at their incompetence!
