In way i would have preferred it to happen to Rubi. Great excuse for a steel rear bar....

All good though. No one hurt. Its just frustrating.

Need a very long tongue on the tow bar. They do a good job on pedestrians knees as well if you have enough lift.

Sadly that would be more likely to do a job on my legs. I leave the tow bar out when im not towing for just that reason

Was the other driver insured?
Happy your wife isn't hurt.
When my wife was rear-ended in our old Commodore, she was trepidatious, getting behind the wheel again.

No idea about the other driver, but it isnt our problem. We have comprehensive so our insurance can chase them.

Thankfully both of our crashes were very low speed. This time there isnt even a mark on ours, but we will get it checked anyway. With the crumple zones on modern cars it isnt unusual for the buper to look untouched but for stuff underneath to be damaged. And while that may not seem a problem to some, the next time you are hit thereis nothing to absorb that impact and people get hurt.

Im not taking that risk with the kids. Its just a pain dealing with insurance companies

Anyway, ive filled some time looking online for a replacement so im happy (not that we can afford what im looking at but i can dream) not that ot will be a write off or anything, im just taking it as a sign its time to move it on
