Gents FWIW
Hate to be the devils advocate but dont forget your numberplate and lights cannot be obstructed in any form or it will void your insurance in a claim.
My wife nudged a bike on a rack on a sedan and after the insurance company sent demand for $2500 repairs, the question was asked if the bike was even legal being there.
Turns out its not unless you have additional lights (ie a trailer plug with additonal brake/indicator rail like tinnies).
Despite it being illegal my wife offered the insurance $500 towards repairs and they graciously accepted, as far as I was concerned it was still her fault, technically.
If we wanted to, we could have paid nothing at all. Not one of the images posted are legal in Australia!!! (numberplate obstruction is not a safety issue, purely revenue due to speed camera evasion but brake tail are safety)
FWIW.
Matt.
