Default Change your fuel filter every 10k too

So my GC just ticked over 11k and after having a good chat to Darren at Aztech 4x4 I decide to do the 10k service myself. Every 20k will be done by an MTA approved service centre. Darren is a bit far away unfortunately

I have a washable intake filter so changed the oil filter (wesfil), oil (mobil 1 ESP) and both fuel filters (wesfil). I have come from mechanical patrols so always changed my oil, oil filter and fuel filter every 5k. Some would that is overkill but my motor was pushing big power and wasn't a daily driver so worth it in my opinion. So basically I found the fuel filters in the GC to be filthy. The diesel drained out had no water and was pretty clean. However the fuel that came out of the filters was pretty cloudy. This car has some country miles on it but mostly city so far. So see for yourself but the filters are pretty bad so I would personally recommend spend the extra dollars and change your fuel filters too.

Yes, i change the fuel filters every 10000k & the oil & oil filters every 5000k.
Considering the cost of repairs to the motor & the fuel system i see it as cheap insurance.

I have my WK2 serviced by Shents , Wyong in NSW and they recommended the same, for the cost of buying them through Mopar in the states it's a small price for peace of mind. The factory service schedule now recommends 40,000km between fuel filter changes!! Mine were much worse than your photos at 80k service having been regularly filled with diesel in outback QLD towns.
