Default TJ jeep

Have only just joined, and am about to purchase a 1999 Jeep Wrangler, are these the TJ model, and what is the general opinion of this model. I have always had Lannd Rovers but would like to try a Jeep,

I too was looking at buying a TJ, but ended up spending a bit extra and getting a JK. The JK is bigger, safer and parts are more readily available.
Happy with my choice.

I have a 2001 model TJ they were made from 97-2006. Plenty of aftermarket parts available for them. Have a look in the TJ forum on this site plenty of info there.

I have a FG Falcon Barra engine that I plan on transplanting into the TJ.

Good reliable 4wd's but poor on road handling and very poor fuel economy

Default tj jeep fuel economy

Any figures on 1999 TJ fee economy, I have heard figures of 12-15 l per 100 ks any reply would be appreciated
