Glad that's the only Jeep we have now.
wtf. They refused to NOT apply the patch, when they are well aware that there are issues with it???

On that basis alone, as a bit of a middle finger back at them, I'd be pushing them to fix that mirror fold motor at their expense based on the consumer law expectation of reasonable product life. (along with addressing the issues introduced by their applying the patch, of course)

Hi all,
I'm due for the S49 on 6 January 17 .... just wondering ..... is it only the diesels alone that are having problems with S49? ... I have the 3.6 petrol.

Any advice would be welcome

Thanks

Rob

I had the 10k service done today. Told the service people I did not want S49 until the bugs are sorted, and it was not done.

Yep.. I was pissed off that they ruined a perfectly fine car, and then got an extra kick in the gut while I'm down.

Hi, had my 20k service done a week ago, I asked for no shifter recall as I didn't want fans coming on and off. Was told it had to be done by law.

After much debate they agreed not to do it and said a proper fix was a week away.

Well today I had to shift my caravan, put the car into reverse, opened the door to see where I was going and into park it went. Tried it a few times same result.

The buggers did it anyway and didn't tell me. So now the seatbelt has to be done up so it doesn't go into park. It does not do this in drive, so u can run over somebody in drive but not reverse.
I haven't heard the fans come on or had any other problems, so I am lucky
or the updated patch has been applied.

regards Russell
