One of my bosses at work was telling me there's some good tracks around jingellic, east of Holbrook, and then also something about some good places to drive past a dam after tumut.
I want to organize a few trips around those areas in the upcoming months, just some weekend trips to see if we can find some snow. If you think you'd be interested in coming along, let me know and we'll get in contact closer to the date. (that offer extends to anyone else too ). I just have to get my jeep back together first haha.
Anyway, off topic here so more pics!!

That's scary without a snorkel. Lucky you didn't suck in some water. Looks like fun though.

It's pretty common losing a number plate with a river crossing. If you do them regularly, it's worth zip tying the plates as well. The water pressure builds up from behind the plate and pushes it forward and off.

Yeah, i backed off as soon as it came over the bonnet. I don't know what I was thinking on this day though, as I sucked in a lot of water this time, had to remove spark plugs from all cylinders and turn the engine over to expell the water. only ended up with water in two cylinders though. She coughed back to life when the plugs were back in. Oh, and because the air filter had become a water filter, I drove the 2mins back home with just the intake plenum on, as I thought that would be better than connecting it to an empty air box sucking in bugs from the front of the car. Holy car this engine sounded like a maloo ute or something with just the plenum on lol

Oh, and wet carpet is a real pita to get dry, as it had gone right through to the sound deadening foam.

Good job on the lift, I wish that was legal down here! Any tips on the wheel painting-I'm thinking about doing my stock wheels black...
