Correct!!
I'd hate to be attempting to climb OR decend and whilst in a precarious position & have some little snotty faced dogooder say he "has right of way".

I see four Queensland (banana bender) members that have posted in this thread, which one specifically were you refering to?..

Thank you everyone for stating the obvious.... many times over while none of you knows the answer to the actual question.

Now the bigger issue of the day is; how do we get OIIIO to resolve his complex with tropical fruit

and if, by coincidence, 2 ******** members are out wheeling the same track at the same time but in opposite direction and they meet at a narrow section of track; the 2 ********'ers get out and swap vehicles just so that a ******** member does not have to give way, thus continuing the never give way status.

Well for whatever its worth. Here is the correct way to tackle a situation like this.
Avoid the sutiation all together by walking the trail first.
If your stupid enuf to start a climb that you dont know where and how it ends then you need some training.
If everyone did this then as your coming up the hill the guy that want to come down will see you whilst he is inspecting it. Vise versa.

Don't know where you wheel, but if I had to walk every trail where a steep climb was involved... I'd have legs like Arnold. A lot of the areas up here are nothing but a series of climbs with dozens on the average run.

Encountered the issue thousands of times and never had a problem. Motor bikes, other 4x4's, bushwalkers and even horse riders..

I can't see why people have such a hard time using common sense, work out quickly what the best option is and sort it. 99% of the time I "give way".. always get a wave, smile or a "cheers mate".
