These will be harder on the rest of your contruction and everything you keep inside as well. Would have gone for some Falcon BA Ute springs myself for that amount of weight or wagon if only a 1000 kgs fully loaded.

Yeah steve i got to agree, i would have went for longer ones, i wish i had of put a little longer on mine!

Ahh well, they're staying now I did get the longest trailer spring I could find, same as fitted to a lot of commercial camper trialers etc.

Anyway, on to the next step

Take a look at any old Aussie Army trailer and you will find nice long springs under there. They know nothing else will do the distance.

Just caught up with this thread as I feel that I could be going down the same track. With regard to the welding of the suspension, the angle of the shackle is important, it needs to be at an angle. If it is verticle it will not swing causing vibration/shock up into the tray. Just something to pay some attention to.

Oh yeah & run any wiring in metal conduit for protection. Good luck, I am enjoying the buildup.
