Sometimes you have to wonder if the anti-pollution actually runs in the positive

Zinc is bad for DPF's its a contaminate. IIRC its actually mentioned in the posted report and certainly in other technical docs.

Sorry I wrote that badly. I meant that the lack of zinc is required for dpf longevity

I have been running Penrite TCW3 in my diesels for 6 years.

First my WH Grand Cherokee and for the last 3 1/2 years, my WK2 Grand Cherokee (from new).

My father-in-law is a retired diesel engineer / mechanic as was his father. They used to add 2 stroke oil to stationary diesel engines since Adam was a boy, to make them quieter and last longer.

The quietness side of it I have experienced first hand. I had a GDE tune installed to my WH Grand when I first bought it (second hand). The first thing I noticed after the tune was the added noise coming from the engine. After much research and also speaking with an oil scientist, I started adding the TCW3. The engine was even quieter than before within a couple of days of adding the 2 stroke.

My mechanic always comments on how clean my oil is at each service, even to the point where he kept some for his Penrite rep to check out. The rep was also extremely surprised.

On top of this, my fuel economy is amazing. My current average fuel economy on the WK2 from new after 100,000 Klm's is 8.5 Lt per 100 Klm's, and that is including towing at least twice a week.....lately every day.

There are text book cowboy's and so called experts that run tests on adding 2 stroke, but in my case, the proof is in the pudding......so to speak!

Cheers, Craig

I use the Penrite Marine premium mineral oil. I was advised not to use the full synthetic one.

I do skip every 4th or 5th tank. No real reason 😁.

Cheers, Craig
