Default Noisy Issues

Hi All have some issues at the moment with the WH a Loud clunk when shifting from R to N or R to P and Shifting into 1st Gear (at low speeds whether done manually or by itself). And a squeak coming from the front right when going over corri or bumpy bitumen. Thanks in advance. Reef

The clunk when shifting is almost definitely the front diff bushes.
Easy to see it move if you get a helper to shift while you look under the car.
Worth checking even if you replaced them recently because some can crap-out really quickly.

I haven't noticed a clunk into 1st due to the diff bushes, but can imagine it happening if they're real bad.

Not sure how to narrow the squeek down though... coil isolator or ball joint probably higher on the list.

If the bush's are shot have a good look at the transfer case C/V, they like to fail in unison.

As James said. Check front diff bushes.

Also check front prop shaft where it goes into the transfer case. There is a CV joint. If the boot is split it probably needs the joint replaced.
The joint can wear and have forward and back play in it. Flogged out diff bushes don't help.

Yeah from looking underneath the transfercase seems to be moving the most when changing between gears.
