Default exact step to lock rear locker on rubicon in 4H (pt)

Jeep has made a big deal about able to lock rear axle in 4H during the JT launch event. This feature is now finally available on MY21 gladiator (possible JL wrangler too). Not sure if this works on earlier build date vehicle tho.

The steps must be followed in the exact order for it to work:

1 put transfer case to 4H part time, let vehicle roll a short distance for it to truly engage
2 press OFFROAD + button to enable offroad+ mode, (Track control became OFF)
3 press and HOLD the ESP button for 10 seconds (a message on dash saying the ESC is completely OFF )
4 press the rear axle lock, it should engage. once enable, the locker remains engaged (I have not tried speed beyond 30kph...)

I have a 2 door Sport JL Wrangler. Obviously I cannot lock the diff.

I am often off road with the Jeep club. They tell me:

I should only use 4Lo as little as possible, only when it is really needed, to avoid over heating the transmission.

The speed limit in 4Lo is 40kph but as I only use it rarely, I am not likely to exceed 10kph.

I know it has nothing to do with your comment above but I thought I would add it anyhow

If anything, I woulda think the 4Lo helps reduce stress on the transmission due to the extra gearing. True that you don't want to rev like crazy just to get the jeep moving fast in 4Lo.

Keep an eye on the transmission fluid temperature using the offroad page, If it rapidly approaching 110'c, stop at the side of the road and open the bonnet, let it run in P with the aircon on (this forces the fan to turn on).
