While I’d agree with you Glend I made a fully enclosed aluminium box for I and mounted it to chassis and then mounted a skid plate under it and while I had it I never had any issues...

Best we hold on for a short while.
I saw info on a very thin lithium battery the other day. It was less than 100mm high, IIRC was over 100AH. Something that thin makes fitment a lot easier. I dont believe there is any issue with gas being given off. If they get down to less than 2X the price of a good conventional AGM/deep cycle, it becomes a good option as they can be drawn down so far without damage.
