Default Help Needed - Driver door lock

Hi All,

Need some advise... We recently purchased a MY15 Jeep GC Limited, Love this car! 1x small issue though, The doors will not lock/unlock via the door handle on the driver side... If i use the passenger side it all works fine?

This has me stumped and i am hoping someone has experienced this or can help me a little?

Appreciate it! Brad

Use the key fob...... its a US vehicle so the passenger door is the drivers door for all intents and purposes. they dont change the wiring/programming for export vehicles

Do you have a reference or first hand knowledge/experience to base this information on?.

The drivers door should unlock when you touch the inside of the handle (when you have the keyfob on you/in close proximity) and lock when you press the button on the outside of the handle. When I do the same with the passenger side all the doors unlock, my wife still thinks I'm being a gentleman by opening her door first!

I can confirm that my MY14 drivers door unlocks passively when I grab the handle, great feature really.

Not trying to have a go at you but have you tried turning it off and back on....

By that I mean use the menu system to turn off passive unlock, maybe go for a drive and then switch the car off and re activate the passive lock feature the next day. Might not fix it but could be worth a try.

That is exactly how they come from the states. IN THE STATES THE PASSENGER DOOR IS THE DRIVERS DOOR. So therfore like most cars if you unlock the drivers (your case passengers) door the rest will open. It was the same with my wife's VW. The passenger door ( here, not USA) is wired as the master door, it isn't changed for export vehicles.

There is an option in the Uconnect menu to passively unlock all or just the drivers door. Your car sounds like it is operating normally from what you describe.

The plug next to the tail gate latch under the cargo cover hasn't been plugged in.

I'll find the thread with pics - hang on...
