Yeah I pretty much do the same, removing only the engine mount bolt however and lifting (and chocking) the engine up on the driver's side, this allowed sufficient room to work thankfully I managed to undo the Torx bolt with a simple 1/2 drive ratchet and Kincrome Torx bit (I'd had weetbix that morning) although admittedly a breaker bar would've been easier


I didn't even need to slip a bit of pipe over the ratchet this time

Any updates on getting this bugger out. I have the T60 Torx, bending sidchrome 10mm ring spanner with a gal pipe over it, I am thinking will make up a tool - weld to breaker bar unless a better suggestion, is f**king tight, scared I will break something that will get expensive such as the bolt its-self.

When removing engine mount / bolt and lifting engine where is best spot to lift it / jack it from

Pardon me but why are you removing the OIL FILTER ADAPTER off ??? I don't understand?

I have oil leaks, cleaned and de-greased under car, this area where oil filter screws into is showing fresh leak overnight, they have o rings inside the adapter, these loose ability to seal over time due to heat etc and leak starts, so removing adapter allows replacement of the seals, the seals come in a kit click here, I am hoping this will eliminate one of my oil leaks still have to tackle front crank seal, and hoping rear crank seal is OK, hope that helps
