funny how all the aftermarket dudes have done for all the Jap cars upon release and then the GC which is outselling all 4wding in that segment takes over 2 years to develop snorkel, bars etc.....

I know what you mean. The most amusing is the new Patrol. I remember ARB and Co were fast out of the blocks to promote they had kit ready to go for it and has Nissan even sold more than 100 of them yet [emoji6]
I wonder if this is because the perception is that more people who use bull bars would buy a nissan/toyota. And GCs are perceived to be generally bought as city based, soft roader cars, and therefore less likely to be fitted with bars, etc.....
A dealership in Saudi Arabia shipped a brand new patrol directly to ARB before Nissan Australia even had one in the country, from memory it was about 8 months before they received their first one. Nissan Australia were rather pi$$ed i might add. That's why ARB had stuff to go when it was released here. Toyota Australia has ARB design and build their "factory" bars and stuff at the Kilsyth plant. FCA import all the aftermarket products for the Jeep range and their still isn't a factory steel winch bar for the WK.

IIRC ARB had an Amarok 6 months or so before release also. The first dak-dak ute and they get early treatment where as Jeep whose name is the universal word for 4x4 gets left behind. I wonder if there is more to it than what we know.
I spoke to a guy who was selling a prado on carsales a little while ago (probably 2mths ago) who turned out to be the TJM rep selling their latest demo vehicle. He told me he was selling it to buy a WK2 to use for designing bar etc, he was specifically looking for an Overland so they could incorporate the ACC sensor.
Has anyone heard any updates on this?
