Good idea to mod the auto bash plate, still on my list to.
Could you send us a few more pictures, of how you done it?

Cheers.

Altered the standard flares to look like flatties

And to finish up just purchased some brand new
285/70R17 mud tyres Federal
They will be used purely as a second set of tyres for our easy country drives I am now famous for.

Oh yeah Wendy made me put the soft top on ( which was a pain in the ass)

We also made up a storage platform to store the hardtop with a block and tackle from the rafters in the garage
Apart from that things have been a little quiet

Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

What federal muddies are those I am looking at a larger tyre and seeing what brands are out there

Default Installed the UHF

aydanrogers - Thanks for putting that pic up with your UHF aerial mount - I copied your idea and mounted in the same place yesterday:

I didn't bother screwing it into anywhere (yet) as I'll be unplugging it & putting it into the centre console during the week and plugging it in on weekends when driving around.

Also thinking of eventually putting a fuse box in behind the glove box to power other things - but that is all in due course

Picked up a rear ARB bar (thanks Yom ) and gave it a good sand blast to remove any oils and waxes, filled the rock rash and gave it a good sand then a few coats of satin black enamel. Looks good enough to me! Will let it cure for a few days while I work out what to do with the number plate then stick it on later this week. Will prob mount the number plate on the spare wheel, just need to make up a bracket for it. Not keen on the ones that poke though the middle of the spare wheel as I dont want to pop the cap out every time I rotate (then either break or lose the centre cap...)

G'day mate,

My Cousin and I knocked these simple brackets up, they mount off the spare wheel and there is a rubber strip behind to protect the wheel. I added a pic for ya:

Anyway, does the job for us and it was made from scraps that were laying around, so cost next to nothing
