Default Installed Firestone Coil-rite Air bags

Hi guys,

I purchased a set of firestone coil-rite air bag helpers (CR 5063) $295.00 from suspension stuff. I had looked at Polyair as they were red but I have had a set of them before and they leaked. This is the second set of firestone bags I have purchased for different vehicles and the air fittings are all press fit.
Install was easy and there was a hole next to the shock mount (JK 2012) where you can insert the air nipple. Only problem is that you have to get under the car to pump.

After noon Yt2
yea got the same in the back of my 2 door and I was able to by the bags to suite my terra flex 4 inch lift
go back to the guys you purchased the bags from as you can buy a round 8 mm thick plastic disc that sits on the center section of the diff inside the spring so that you spread the bottom of the bag across a larger flatter diameter and this will stop the bag wearing in the one uneven position

Also both of my valve are fitted to the side of the car so I can get to them quickly all of the parts are via the Air bag man in Welspool Perth

Send me a PM and I will send up some info

So, let me get this right - if I want a tow bar, all I need is one of these, which will bolt into pre-existing holes in the frame, and then just slot in a standard tow bar/ball?

Is it really that simple?

You can buy that towbar and install it yourself - yes... *BUT* its not ADR approved, and insurance would not cover you if you have an accident whilst towing!

The OEM or Mopar towbar which is ADR has two larger bolts and two smaller bolts aswell, slightly different to the eBay one you have listed..

I weighed up my options.. and opted for the OEM towbar and installed professionally and I can sleep easy at night.

A very good point. Sounds like a (nother) trip down to Hammonds or similar. Thanks!

Yep, AT is correct, don't bother trying to order from their site, you have to email them, great guys to deal with.

[QUOTE=Yt2;1326669]Hi guys,

A mate of mine says that while using airbags is great to level out your suspension etc, if pee gravel gets in there or stones from unsealed roads it can cause the bag to tear...he says get some kevlar socks or sleeves for them to save them
