Default WCM/WIN units

Had to replace WCM/WIN and fob/keys, since old unit really acting up. TPMS no readouts, not recognising fob/key, difficult to remotely lock/unlock doors, fob stuck in ignition. Was expensive but required. Also now with programming, for first time doors lock automatically above 20km/h. Previous Jeeps also did not do this.

However, disturbing news, agents were told by Chrysler that WCM/WIN units will no longer be available as spares. This is a serious situation, since these WCM/WIN units are prone to become defective.

How long ago were you told this as they just did a whole production run of them last year? I bought one as a spare in case I need it in the future as mine would only work sometimes and other times it would say invalid key. While I was waiting for them to be produced again I pulled my WIN part and gave it all a very good clean and it has worked perfectly ever since. Hanging anything of your key fob wears the WIN faster too!

Marcus, was told this 2 days ago. Rep from Chrysler was at the agent that day.
The unit in my Jeep was ordered from US and took few days and then had to order new FOB/key also since the present fobs could not be programmed into the new WIN unit. But kept the old WIN unit, fobs and steering lock that must be connected to that WIN unit since the steering lock (European models) is programmed into the WIN unit.

Thanks Marcus. As I mentioned also had to get new not programmed FOBs since the new WIN unit did not accept the present ones, and they could not be reprogrammed for the new WIN unit.
