Default 2012 Grand Cherokee 3L CRD TCM location

Hi All,
As part of my attempts to get my car going again I am told that the code U110B may be caused by the Transmission Control Module and that I should check connections. My internet searches have been way confusing in trying to find where that is located. Does anyone know for sure? thanks Adrian

TCM is under the passenger seat in a floor compartment...easy access once you have a look....has 'tags' that clip in to lock it...not a hard task...use a clip tool or a screwdriver...be gentle...no secret method...good luck

Hi Farwest, that is the location for the TCCM, the Transfer Case Control Module, replaced that last year. Is the Transmission Control Module in the same location too? thanks Adrian

After searching I finally rang Jeep Parts and confirmed that the TCM is part of the PCM. At least I can stop looking for the module.

The actual module I think your referring to is the TCMA and it is located in the body of the 8HP70 gearbox, it talks to the PCM and other sensors to make things work so in all possibility and with that code I would say a bad connection somewhere .... have no idea where to start looking.

The TCCM, TCMA and PCM all cross reference with other sensors .... this is for the 8 speed though different thing all together for a 5 speeder.... I believe its a seperate bit stashed inside under the dash somewhere but can be incorporated into the PCM, hard to tell as Yank and Export not always the same and I can't remember now which engine.

Jeep Jeep DTC U110B

Make:
Jeep
Code:
U110B
Definition:
LOST ENGINE COOLANT MESSAGE
Description:
Continuously with the ignition on. The DTC will set if a valid CAN ID was not received in the required time from the ECM/PCM
Cause:
TRANSMISSION CONTROL MODULE (TCM)
