Default 2.7 CRD Swirl flaps full open linkage position

Hello.

The link between the swirl flaps actuator and the swirl flaps linkage fell down while I changed the engine mounts some months ago. I think I bought the car with it already broken and got stuck somewhere near the engine mount.

I'm planing to do the swirl flaps delete mod in the near future, but while I don't do it, I would like to leave them in the open position. I can move the linkage manually from below, but I don't know when it's open. Can you guys send me a picture of this part of the linkage on the OPEN position (it can be set as OPEN through WJdiag app while engine is OFF).

The picture is the front part of the intake, next to the oil radiator and oil filter, it's the swirl flaps linkage for cyl 1. That plastic piece is currently pointing to the front of the engine, I can move it so it points to the back of the engine, but I don't know which is the open position.

Thanks guys

As far as I remember, towards the front is fully opened.

Thanks! I think I've been driving it on the CLOSE position for a year with awful fuel economy on the highway. I moved the linkage to the front to test exhaust gases on acceleration.

When the plastic piece is pointing to the back of the car, I get a lot of white smoke through the exhaust:

And when I point it to the front I get puffs black smoke:

Do your 2.7 CRD puff black smoke when +3000 rpm?
