Still chasing ways of fixing the fault associated with this code. Apparently crdjon had this code years ago. Anyone got any new information on how to eliminate it ?
Regards
John

That is usually due to a Boost Sensor (aka MAP) sensor problem. Have you ever pulled the sensor to have a look at it? If not a cleanup may resolve the problem, they should be cleaned regularly if you are still running without a Provent and EGR blocked. They gunk up. Don't clean it with petrol, use spray contact cleaner it gets down inside it to the electronics and won't disolve the part number. Btw its a standard GM part as well just use the Bosch number to search for one if you want to replace it. Lots of info on the LOST forum on this topic.

The only information I can find in print relates to the air inlet pressure sensor and NOT the boost sensor So am I reading the wrong material or what ? The fault code only sets if you allow the engine to idle for about 15 to 20 seconds. Will not come on with normal driving. You could drive hundreds of miles on the highway and the fault will not appear. So how can it be the boost sensor. Refer 9-759 of the KJ service manual.

Hi Glend
The MAP/Temperature sensor has been cleaned and gives what appear to be good readings while being driven with the scan tool connected. The car runs really well with lots of power when you keep the fault light off. Only have to clear it occasionally when caught in traffic and let the engine idle. If it was the MAP/T that senses boost pressure, I would assume it would come on during normal driving and not only during idle. Have a spare MAP on my other car in Brisbane and may try it when I get the chance. Does the other MAP sensor on your air box throw a fault code if disconnected? I feel that GDE tune eliminates this circuit but cannot get any confirmation.
Thanks for your assistance,
John
