This looks like a great forum. Just from reading the 0.1% of it that I have so far, I've learnt heaps.... Lots of ideas.
Buying the XJ was a stroke of luck. After years of driving Falcons, I realised I needed something more robust with space to carry stuff. I looked at Land Rovers, Escapes, Tributes and then saw an XJ and saw in it something special.... I can't explain it... (Is that what's meant by "It's a Jeep thing"?)
I never even noticed Jeeps on the road before, now I'm a diehard fan.
The first time I realised that Jeeps were special was after driving it for a few days, noticing people waving/nodding as I drove past... other Jeep drivers. This was complicated when I moved to Venus Bay... there are Jeep waves and the generic country wave. When I figured out what was going on I turned into a waver too.
