Hey guys. fresh Jeep owner here
unfortunately not from Australia, more like Europe, Romania to be more exact. i didn't know where to register, since the us jeep owners seem to know very little about the diesels.
i just bought a 96 cherokee, 2.5Td, 140000 km. mk4 golf's don't like bumpy roads and i didn't want a 4x4 with a big engine.
now, there is a slight problem. on the trip home (i bought it from germany, a ~2200km drive) the low coolant light turned on a couple times and each time i refilled the coolant there was a bit some pressure in the system. the bigger radiator hoses get hard as a rock just after you start the engine and there is a bit of foam in the coolant bottle when the engine runs. the oil looks fine. same goes for the cap.
