The 3db aerial doesn't have the distance like the 6db one (probably only a couple of km's), but its a lot better when in the scrub due to the way it projects the signal.

I only use the 6db one when on the highway when I'm after distance.

Boris, Have a look at this link. It illustrates how the 3db is best in the hill and the 6db for open road https://www.4-wheeling-in-western-au...f-antenna.html

Sorry to drag up an old post.. looking to get this done myself. I assume that's the Uneek Battery tub.. how did you relocate your exhaust to allow it to fit? Got any pictures?

That was really long ago and the JK is long gone and replaced with a JL Cherokee Trailhawk.

To answer your question SBR Offroad also fitted a stainless steel exhaust to make room for the tub. I can't remember all the details exactly but a call to SBR will give you the answers you need. They're very helpful.

Nice work, can you share a plan of what you are trying to achieve?

Also, what’s the net thing you have bellow the roof?
I have some cargo netting to hold stuff like jackets etc but it’s not the best and yours looks pretty cool.
