The complete Kit as made by another regular member here and is a great resource for all.

There was a change in structure in the later years, so you have either the earlier MY14 or the Later MY16 cracked firmware file for use with your USB stick. Just download both as they are identical save a minor technical change, using the wrong one does not cause grief.

https://mega.nz/folder/fj400YQD#GUxqvRjHA4fWq1KIJeOs4Q (MY14)

Finally, the only issue for some members undertaking this is retaining their original basemap file and possibly the .lyc file for the basemap. Just download what you have, check and play to get it done.

There is so much information on this forum and others that there is no need to ask further questions as the 'search' button is your friend. The main issue with the units in earlier days is some had Dab+ enabled, some not and some able to be activated via product ID modify (or not) including modifying to turn on maps. You will discover this first and then move on.

Usual warning, you must accept you can brick these units, although quite rare with this procedure (I don't know of any) and will be 100% your fault as I and others on this forum will know you made a very serious mistake. If you get lost in all of this, just reload the factory firmware and start again. Rooting Android phones is not undertaken as much anymore unless you have an old one to keep with your aging Jeep. Hence, you might want to check that out first and refer to my first line. The primary reason over all these years, enforcing map purchases is so we are not abusing the map provider's property.

As always Mousie...loved every second of your input...understood none of it...beautiful...thanks mate

I don't use the maps in my 2015. I use Google on my Android phone or when I travel I have a Hema navigator I use.

The Hema was great too when i did the CREB and the OTT as it tracked the route the whole time. We did stray off the Tele at one junction and knew straight away as the Tele disappeared off the side of the map...no idea how good the inbuilt Jeep maps would have been...
