Hey ya guys, this may be a silly question. But what are people replacing the head/dump/front pipe with?

Recently picked up a set of Gibson performance headers from one of the guys on here, and while I’ve been having a look at fitting it I’m wondering what the point would be in leaving the restrictive front pipe with the driveshaft kink in it.

As far as I can tell there isn’t really any bolt on kit that covers the front pipe. It’s generally headers and cat back systems.

Thanks [emoji4]

Thanks rainman, but am I missing something? I already have headers, and if you look at Gibson,Borla or banks, these kinda guys they aren’t supplying that header to cat section, surely people have to be doing something, or are they just getting something fabbed

i would imagine they are getting an exhaust shop to fit them.
I went with ones that came with a "tri-Y" set up that included the head pipe and ended in a slip joint, so I could fit it in the shed @2.5" to the cat.
When you do it suggest you put in a flex joint in the head pipe somewhere.
good luck with it.
