Does it ? ... does anyone actually know ?

"The new KK Cherokee features a substantially upgraded monocoque chassis/crash structure" http://editorial.carsales.com.au/car...w/2898532.aspx

"Indeed, this Jeep is probably a great deal better in its handling and roadholding than you might expect from a ladder-chassis 4x4 from America" http://www1.autotrader.com.au/mellor...4?OpenDocument

Personally, I reckon the looks are a big improvement over the KJ (until you get to the front); it kind of looks like an XJ/KJ love child. But I can't go for the Commander front end ... no way, or the chrome grille. I'll wait for the model with the revised headlights, either XJ or JK style.

I'd buy it just for the oiler donk..My mate has it in his KJ..Amazing torque & economy..Why would we ever want a six with that sweet thang humming away out front. Wish I could fit one in my XJ. Are you on channel Mark's Adaptors?

No it doesn't have a real chassis- it just has a stronger, more ladder-like Unibody. Had a good look around one the other day at training, no slip yoke!(yay!) plenty of scope for lift as well, as with KJ,WH and XH at standard height drive shafts still have 1-2 degree up angle, but once a decent bar is fitted to the front it has more tyre clearance than any of them...
