Default WK2 Rock sliders

Hello guys,

Now i've seen 3 options for steel side steps/ rock rails / rock sliders for the wk2

Mopar with 2 versions, and Rocky road. I think most will agree the Mopar ones are great but expensive.

Well Uneek 4x4 is just about finished developing our own set. These will replace the plastic fairing so they will sit nice and high. All steel with a bolt on top tread plate that has extruded holes for grip and will be bomb proof.

Here is are CAD images of the nearly finished item.

And not sure if I've missed it in another thread but what's the story with the rear bar? Is it far off production?

I'm finding the mopar ones a bit hard to live with, have to really step out over them. I know the extra padding is good for the trails, but perhaps think about making them a little slimmer.....?

The other BIG issue with the mopar ones is fitting them PITA!

Shame I got mine already, would have preferred to support local.

I'm impressed Dave! That's another item on our list marked off, looks like a trip interstate coming up with a wallet full of Shopper Dockets!

Price will be around $1000 give or take $100

For the rock sliders to still act as a working step they need to stick out a bit so you dont slip off. That being said they can't stick out too far or they effect the side airbags.

My intention is to have them usable able to have half your foot with purchase to access the roof rack or allow short people to get in easier.
