I believe all Petrol XJ's had ABS & I know diesels did not. For the update ones I am sure. For the pre update petrol I believe they had ABS as well.
I swapped a ABS rear end from a 96 into my non-abs '96
as the housing was stuffed

petrol come with or without abs

as far as I know, standard is 3.55 for all petrol,

count the turns ie 43/13 or watever it is, takes 5mins

he guy has an ABS in his XJ & a non ABS as a replacement.
Doesnt say what year so dont know if its an update.
Easiest way to tell a diesel is to compare the yokes. The diesel is bigger.
I had never seen a non ABS petrol XJ. All ABS diffs are out of petrol ones as far as I can tell.
I am sure he will have a story to tell before its all done.

The car is a 95model petrol with abs and 3,55 gearing

The replacement diff is definitely non abs 3.55 gearing and out of a petrol and yoke appears the same as the one on the car.

My 95 sport petrol has no ABS? The swap is literally in the abs wiring which bolts on to the diff and the axle shafts are different with a tone ring or something on it. (I have an abs diff at home.)
