It's a mystery. I am sure the OEM Hellas never came with rubber caps behind them. As I mentioned, the drivers side is fine without it. Whatever is letting the water in on the pax side is also letting the dust in. I have even tried using silicone. The blown bulb happens only in the wet.

OEM was Cibie, not Hella.The Cibies came with the rubber caps.

Layback, my preupdate OEM headlamps are indeed Hella, Made in Germany. They are stamped with the Hella logo. Still waiting for my replacement headlamp to arrive. The leaky lamp still has moisture in it from last week.
