Post Adding a throttle controller

Has anyone added a throttle controller like the iDrive to their JGC?
Does it make much difference?
Would you recommend one?
Are they easy to install?

I have a 2014 diesel wk2

Thanks in advance!

Yes, thoroughly recommend. I have an iDrive and it is great. I operate it on U3 and the throttle response is instantaneous right through the range. Totally adjustable to suit your own taste.
Quite a few on here have them. Mine is on a MY14, diesel.

Another endorsement for iDrive, it transforms the car. I like mine set on U5, but as Johnnywal says it has a wide range of settings to choose from. Dead easy to install, plug and play.

An idrive is the best mod you can do on a WK2 diesel, it totally transforms the way they take off. It feels like a different motor.

Set on U5, it gets rid of the throttle lag without being overly sensitive.

Fit it yourself, takes about 20 minutes, if that. You can also buy different coloured faceplates for them to match the dash.

Sports mode on my 2015 is barely noticable from normal.
